The Battle of Edgecote
by Mark Robson

Last Saturday was a glorious day here in the Midlands. Bright sunshine. Warm, bordering on hot. A fantastic day indeed to watch upwards of 200 men dressed in full armour, hacking at one another with swords, axes, polearms and anything else they could lay their hands on. This was an event run by the English Tournament Society and I must say it was most impressive.
Here’s a few pictures of the day.
For those fans of my Darkweaver books, you should try going along to one of these events sometime. Believe me, I learned a lot about medieval fighting that I had no idea about when writing those early books.
