Cosford Airshow 2008

Had a great time at Cosford Airshow again this year. The weather remained kind despite the forecast and a monstrous number of people attended. I was ably assisted this year by a lovely young make-up artist called Sarah, who braved the early morning start, froze with me in the hangar and gamely handed out bookmarks to all and sundry! Bless her. She was a star. I think it probably took her several days to recover and I doubt she will ever volunteer to do anything like it again, but I’d like to think she had fun for the day.
Here we are looking happy.
Also with me looking happy was my good friend Ian Whates with a plethora of great new titles to tempt the public with. I came away with a copy of Celebration (I’ve already got the others!)
He has been very busy this year publishing some great anthologies of short stories, the writers of which read like a who’s who of SFF! Do check them out at the Newcon Press website.

Great photos!
Thank you so much for inviting me along. It was fantastic to meet and chat to your readers, and I did have a brilliant time despite being full of cold and nearly freezing to death ;)
Thanks again and see you soon.

Lovely to see you here, Sarah. I’ve now put an extra link to your website – sorry, I should have thought of that before. Must do dinner soon! My daughter has been nagging…

I loved the first two books, I love Femke, Reinik and even Shalidar! all the world you created is fantasitc! I’ll be happy and sad when I’ll have finished the third one. I don’t want to leave these characters.

Thanks for ordering Imperial Traitor, Anais. I feel confident that you will enjoy it. I was pleased with the way I wrapped up this series, though I’m already getting lots of emails from people wanting me to write more with the same characters. I’m hoping that I will get similar responses from the readers of my new series. Love and best wishes from England. Mark.

Hi Amelia. Thanks for your post. Nice to meet you, too!
The game is not quite ready yet. I’m expecting it to go online around 10th July, so keep watching. It won’t be long now.
