Eddings has been pretty prolific. I have a feeling he will probably slow down now that Leigh (his wife) has sadly passed away. My favourite series has always been the first one, though all the books featuring the characters from the Belgariad were enjoyable. He remained my favourite author for many years until I eventually realised that he was unable to invent new characters any more, but simply recycled the same ones with different names. At that point I gave up and moved on to the works of others.

He has written a lot of books with the same characters! 2 series of 5 plus 2 prequels to series 1...no doubt a whole lot more as well!

Matt,

I think you'll find the series gets more and more exciting as it progresses. I'm glad you like it. I thought you would. David Eddings was one of my favourite authors when I was your age. :-)

Thanks to your brilliant suggestion when i met you in november I picked up Pawn of Prophesy by David Eddings from my school library. It is a very good read, not really much exiting stuff going on but for some reason you are gripped by the book anyway. I must thank you for suggesting it though! I hope to get the others in the series soon, but they don't have them at school.
